She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Mortician. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Mortician for hire.

Motivation: Expand her business; and balancing her hectic life and new mortician responsibilities is difficult

He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and regain custody of his daughter

Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Millicent's homeland. Millicent decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. After a long history of fighting, Millicent and her spouse have recently divorced.
