History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Hlin alone in the world. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
