History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Susannah was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Susannah's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Marshal hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Marshal.
