History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Scribe born in the past three hundred years. Faral enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Scribe. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and wants to raise his children well
