Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Birel was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Birel's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Birel fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: To unite with her sister; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scimitar.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and obtaining odd cultural halfling artifacts is his passion
