History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Through the years after Glim was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Glassblower. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
