Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She's also a talented Bather, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day
