History: Joan hails from a village terrorized by orcs. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Ploughman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it.
