History: He was born into a rich family. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. Qualen enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born in the north to a Tanner, Qualen learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer.
