Merla was born on a far eastern mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Scribe. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.
