Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Shadow was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Shadow's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Shadow and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Shamil was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Shamil liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She bought a sword and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.
