Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting dire rats, the young Quarethon began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born in the east. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Tanner. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His first spouse was a Dilettante, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He's in love; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Description: She is a paragon of her species. She is larger and stronger than most Half-Elves. Her skin is light but she possesses many tan ritualistic tattoos. She wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with violet lining and desert motifs. She wears her white hair up in a very large beehive style do. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are hazel.

Personality: She hates goblins. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She takes great joy in being the best Unemployed in town.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Unemployed hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.
