History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Bendoo alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Sculptor but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Melissa hails from a village terrorized by brigands. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting brigands, the young Melissa began to lead the lost caravan. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Many brigands want her driven away.
