History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Laborer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Crown-heir, and he later adopted a second son.

She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Some 2 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Nalaed never married again.
