History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Brewer they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Miller, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and to pay off his debts

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: She got into the Miner business at a young age. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: She has passion for adventuring and risk; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her childhood dream was to be a Performer, but she was a colossal failure. She tends to her Tanner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and a rival would like her out of the picture
