History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Cagak was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Butcher. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Nalaed was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Nalaed was born on a far southern mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Bricklayer. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To be a Stylist again; and balancing her hectic life and new bricklayer responsibilities is difficult
