History: Xanaphia lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and wants to raise her children well

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. A freak accident while working with his Mortician father left him crippled. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
