History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Pearl grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Pearl. She became a Interpreter soon after.

History: Manfred was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Adept, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Adept in service of a powerful lord somewhere. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Half-Orc companion (her 'brother'). Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure.
