Personality: He hates Half-Elves with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Lucan hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: She is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as she rather likes the sound of her voice. Her demeanor is somewhat feminine. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: Aline lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Spy but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. A gifted student she started as a Actor, but she got bored and became a Spy. She has worked as a Spy like her father before her.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
