Description: He wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. He carries with him a set of daggers on his belt, each one with a opal on the hilt. With bright white hair and a scraggly beard. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are gray.
Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is obsessed with finding treasure.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rurik was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Rurik abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he desires power and/or immortality

Description: This man is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized opal on his right hand. His hair is cut close to his head. His eyes are hazel.
Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he is greedy

Description: She wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with white lining and desert motifs. Her red hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. Her brown eyes dart from person to person.
Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.
History: Born in the west her family was never financially stable. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she is content

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.
History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
