History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Joan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. Through the years after Mreksh was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Mreksh's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Her golden hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep green.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the north were limited. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 13 years.
