History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Gurdis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to her own.

History: Gifted from a young age, Helen studied abroad. Her psionic abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Puyet is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Puyet liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Puyet fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
