History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Purson alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and many illithids want him driven away

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Butcher. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. While she appears to be a normal Dragonborn, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Sun was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Tabaxis became a terror of the countryside. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
