History: He comes from a rich eastern family. Through the years after Lucan was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Lucan's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Paggen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away.

Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Emerald fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
