Personality: He hates Half-Elves with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. The war was a terrible time for him, and Adran does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Elven conditions. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Adran fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She receives visions of the future at random moments

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Shanairla grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Shanairla. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered north to less war torn lands. She has never given up on her writing dream.
