History: He was born into a rich family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Valafar grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
