Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. Halander enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Slave Trader arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Personality: She is mildly Tabaxi supremacist, though she does not identify as such. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Emerald alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it.
