History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hethress was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She became a Server soon after.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
