History: Malquis was born the youngest of three triplets. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Malquis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Malquis. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ovak was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Map Maker. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Map Maker.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
