History: Norman lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the west were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Rûg embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Orcs. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He became a Healer soon after.

Motivation: To be a Spice Merchant again; and further expansion of business

Description: This late middle aged woman wears brown trousers with white and green striped suspenders. She wears various colorful collared shirts and is in decent physical shape. Her white fur is slicked back into a classic pompadour. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. Energy wise she seems alert and responsive.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 3 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Smoking never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and marry her brother to traveling adventurers
