History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Meena grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She now mingles about in high society.

History: Gifted from a young age, Bidreked studied abroad. A freak accident while working with his Butcher father left him crippled. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Stannor grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Stannor. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Her auburn hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Shepherd. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Born in the west to a Shepherd, Eran learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Shepherd responsibilities is difficult.
