Description: A man of a pale complexion, he prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. He has wavy blonde hair. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Howard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Howard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Howard. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Description: This northern woman wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with black lining and desert motifs. Her clothes are grease stained in places. Her black hair is lengthy. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Marry her brother to traveling adventurers; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His white fur is kept up in a ponytail inside a feathered hat. He has a tattooed face.

Personality: Elegant hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his singing career. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Elegant abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to reunite with his old friends

Description: He has a large white mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into his grey robe. His hair is long and silver with streaks of chestnut, and is pulled back with small white clips. His beard is chestnut, braided, and well cared for. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: Ortegar was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things.
