History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Alex alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and doesn't want to be a body guard and was forced into it by his family

Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

History: She was born in the north. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. She struck the Mercenary job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and balancing her hectic life and new mercenary responsibilities is difficult

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Masseuse born in the past three hundred years. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Masseuse but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Dwarven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Dwarven doctor. He became a Masseuse soon after.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
