History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Astaro was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Description: A pudgy woman standing about 6'6" has a big stupid grin on her face most of the time. She wears a fine chain shirt which she covers with green colored cloaks and clothing. She keeps her gold crest in a flapper bob. Her eyes are red and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: To unite with her sister; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He wears a grey tunic with green highlights, and long brown pants that bunch up around his shoes. He keeps his silver hair in a pixie cut. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of giants may trigger it at times.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Dain alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to giants.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Painter and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: Calm and collected, she is a well trained Mortician. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mortician.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Halfling artifacts is her passion.
