History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. In her 19th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He married young, but lost his spouse to illithids. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Emerald was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of drow may trigger it at times.

History: Shifting hails from a village terrorized by drow. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

Description: A well shaped woman just over fifty, she is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing black cape and mantle trimmed with soft white waves gently in the breeze. She keeps her green crest in a pixie cut. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are gold.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the east. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
