Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Shaena embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing singing.

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Detective work with an outfit from a few towns over. Detective work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Balam never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
