Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Born to a Body Guard, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Servant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: River was born the youngest of three triplets. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Stableman. He struck the Stableman job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: To be a Tanner again; and balancing his hectic life and new stableman responsibilities is difficult

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She is a Deep Scion in disguise. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
