Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Howard's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Map Maker arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. A gifted student he started as a Locksmith, but he got bored and became a Map Maker. He's also a talented Locksmith, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 8 years.
