Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Manfred embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Born in the south to a Gardener, Manfred learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He now owns his own business.

Personality: Tagga speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She tends to her Navigator job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.
