History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he is greedy

Description: She appears as an extremely gaunt Dwarf, and stands approximately 4'2". She wears tight fitting pants and leather jackets. She usually doesn't wear a shirt, and her gloved hand is found clutching a bow. Her golden hair is wavy and long. Her brown eyes peer out from beneath her Stetson brown hat.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Dwarves.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the west were limited. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and many dire rats want him driven away
