Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Gurdis was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She struck the Miller job and began her own company from there.
