History: She comes from a rich western family. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Emerald was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Emerald's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Emerald and his spouse have recently divorced.
