History: Jocelyn was born the youngest of three triplets. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Jocelyn took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up whip and armor he uses now. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Zagga alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Paggen grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Paggen. After a long history of fighting, Paggen and his spouse have recently divorced.
