Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Baern was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the brigands.

Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Cartwright arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has dedicated herself to building a better trade route.
