History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Elaim was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 10 years.
