She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

History: Ranala hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Servant for hire.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.
