History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Portia lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bounty Hunter they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Laborer, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent father; and balancing her hectic life and new laborer responsibilities is difficult
