Description: This northern woman is abnormally tall. She wears a grey cloak and cross-gartered brown stockings. Her whole body is exceptionally muscular. She has wavy black hair. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. As she has aged she has sought to do reparations for her actions as a youth. She is also making sure that her compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mardred grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mardred. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day

Her shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for her due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. She wears a small hat to hide her balding. Her silver eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Gomory lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
