History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Oriel alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His first spouse was a Soapmaker, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Mara embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. She is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: The child of a Fletcher, who enjoyed hunting, Mara was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Dwarf in existence. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Dwarves.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dwarven conditions. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Guard for hire.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.
