History: Born in the east to a Dyer, Ranala learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Ranala abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Dyer for the past few years.

History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
